Two evenings of acoustic music in the small harbor of Ičići once again brought together lovers of live performance in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
The Unplugged Festival, known for its simplicity and closeness with the audience, stayed true to its spirit this year as well, offering an intimate seaside experience in Ičići’s Lučica.
The first night opened with the local band Love Runners from Lovran. They immediately set the tone and drew the crowd in, creating the perfect introduction to the evening.
They were followed by L’Amour Trio, who brought smooth, danceable rhythms that had both locals and tourists swaying along. Visitors from across Europe openly praised the festival’s atmosphere and choice of performers, confirming what the locals already know: Ičići knows how to create nights to remember—not through spectacle, but through feeling.
The second evening, however, brought a test of spirit. Clouds gathered and rain threatened to halt the show. Part of the program, unfortunately, had to be canceled for safety reasons, the anticipated performance by the Nicolas Kurelić Trio was not held.
Yet as soon as the weather cleared, the stage lit up with Vatra.
Though the rain had thinned the crowd, those who stayed were rewarded with a powerful, heartfelt acoustic performance. In the stripped-down setting by the sea, their songs resonated with honesty and emotion, perfectly in line with the festival’s vision: raw, unfiltered, and close to the audience.
Unplugged Festival in Ičići once again proved that beauty often lies in simplicity—where there is no noise, glitter, or spectacle. Just the sea, the people, and music that doesn’t shout, but whispers, tells stories, and brings people together. And in that story, Ičići continues to carve out its special place on the summer festival map.
